Decorating?

Selling Your Home?

Remodel or Move?

Location, size, finances,

even cranky plumbing

and your own emotions

can play a role when

you're pondering

whether to buy another

home or start tearing

out walls .

Here are the

questions to ask.

How to Care For

Marble and Granite

Counters

During the last decade, all upscale

kitchens and bathrooms have

moved towards solid surface

counter tops, with a focus on

natural stone materials like

granite and marble.

Walk into any designer home,

and you'll find very earthy kitchens

and bathrooms with earth tones,

tile and slate surfaces, and

 of course counters. But cleaning

and caring for polished stone

surfaces is different than wiping

down an old formica or butcher

block counter. Marble and granite

need special sealants and cleaners

to keep them looking their best

and maintaining their good looks

over the years. Here we review

some of the best granite cleaners

and sealants, and also look into

marble care and cleaning.

With a little extra work, you can

 keep your bathroom and kitchen

 looking like new.

 Economical to build and
 uniquely suited to make use
of every square inch of the
house. The American
Foursquare
is known by a
variety of terms including
 box house, a cube, a
double cube or a square
type American house. It
 first appeared on the
 housing scene around
1890 and remained
popular well into the
1930s. Perhaps most
 notably, the foursquare
is a nearly square house
 with square shaped
interior rooms. The first
 floor typically has four
rooms, including an
entry foyer or reception
hall, living room, dining
room and kitchen.
Upstairs, three bedrooms
 and a bath all politely
sit in their own corners.

A Bathroom Remodel Inspired by a Hotel Spa

Inspired by the peace she felt at a hotel spa in Barcelona, this homeowner opened up her formerly cramped bathroom and redressed it in a relaxing spa style. Granite countertops and dark mahogany and maple woodwork capture a luxe elegance that fits right into the family's 1929 Colonial Revival home.

Great idea! Natural stones are always my choice for decorating home, specially kitchen. The best quality of a natural stone is its beauty, which is always long lasting and reliable. I always prefer natural stones for interior decoration of home over any other designing things.
